Oh Glee. You are such a show of contradictions. Sometimes we love your characters. Sometimes we want to punch them. You have great music, but your continuity is laughable. You get preachy and after-school-special like, but you can handle complex issues with grace occasionally. This was the last episode before their “winter break” (winter break was in December, guys), so they decided to go all out into over dramatic territory and the internet is all a buzz. Some fans got emotional, some fans rolled their eyes, but everyone had a reaction either way. Let’s look at why “On My Way” caused such a stir.

This recap is otherwise known as Dee is super, super, super tired of David because Charming is awesome and if they could just have him play Charming 24/7 and not David, that’d be awesome. Kthx. Also, Kathryn’s awesome. In other news, Regina is evil. In other other news, the sky is blue.

Glee is about to hit its version of a Winter Break, considering it aired all through the winter when other shows jumped off the air. Next week (the 21st) will be the last one until April, a sizable jump. They can never take big breaks without the last episode being involved with Sectionals, Regionals, or Nationals, so the episode coming up will be Regionals with them facing off against the Dalton Warblers. This week was all about Valentine’s Day, however, with the obvious title of “Heart.” (Earth! Fire! Wind! Water! Captain Planet!)

I wrote before about how I overcame personal prejudice to try out Once Upon a Time and the show grew on me. I was intrigued by the last episode before the break when Sheriff Graham was brutally killed by Regina aka the Evil Queen. It was enough to keep me interested in seeing the rest of the season, because the cutesy cheesiness of the show could get grating on my nerves. But killing him was showing a real dark side, and that’s why I always preferred Grimm’s Fairy Tales over Disney. Don’t get me wrong, the little girl inside me still loves Aladdin and the Lion King, but I like the adult version of stories too. This episode was delving into one of my absolute favorite stories, Beauty and the Beast. So obviously, I was going to be a sucker for it.

It’s been a little while since we had a chance to throw something up here, and with the announcement that House is officially over this season, I couldn’t resist but write a little something about it. I have a long history with House, so consider this a nostalgic look back at the show and where it probably went a little wrong.
